The situation

Ballycotton Seafood runs multiple locations, and was paying more than it needed to across several card terminals. Nobody had one place to see what was actually being charged across the business, so the extra cost was easy to miss.

What we found

A full review of statements from every location showed the same pattern repeating: fees that added up faster than expected, spread across terminals that didn't share any reporting. Once everything was mapped out, the numbers pointed to a saving of around €3,400 a year.

What changed

The upgrade went beyond the rate. Terminals now switch automatically between WiFi and SIM if one connection drops, so losing signal doesn't mean losing a sale. A virtual terminal now handles phone orders, removing the cost of running a separate device for them. Receipts became optional and paperless wherever wanted.

Every location now reports into one dashboard, so checking the numbers no longer means logging into separate terminals or piecing together separate reports by hand.
